Based on these principles, FloraWare dispels the traditional methods of programming in a number of ways. Essentially, it takes the application development process and converts it to create an object-oriented model using model-based programming (growing a “live tree of objects”). By virtue of its emphasis on above methodologies, FloraWare integrates the application development tool with contemporary theoretical ideas about object-oriented programming systems and creates an innovative framework.

FloraWare boasts record-breaking performance in developing, debugging, testing and implementing large and extra-large scale automation systems. Since 1999 it has become the company's principle tool used in developing a broad range of software applications – from real-time event processing and OLTP to real world object visualization and interactive database access. FloraWare has been extensively tested and today is successfully used in a large number of financial institutions and processing centres.

A second version of FloraWare was released in spring 2002 as a result of the modification and expansion of its base concept. The updated version included such tools as new dynamic classes and meta-classes support, automatic programming, UML and XML support and other capabilities.

The properties of FloraWare’s Object Engine micro-nucleus allow it to transfer its programming tools to a wide range of platforms, such as: Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista 32/64, Linux 32/64, SUN Solaris SPARC/Intel and QNX RtP. Currently, work is underway to transfer FloraWare programming tools to Itanium processor and to provide compatibility with the .NET technologies.

At present, FloraWare has been utilised in the development of hundreds of applications, including several of critical importance, some of which encapsulate more than 500 000 objects and work in real-time on fault-tolerant distributed cluster platforms. With over seven years of industry exposure, FloraWare continues to provide solutions for hundreds of organisations all over the world. The enduring popularity of the FloraWare framework is testament to its high quality, productivity, reliability, simplicity of inception and cost-effectiveness.
