Home Service Migration Techniques
One of the major issues inherent to the process of replacing payment solutions is migration. This task is not trivial even for small-scale EFT systems and, if poorly performed and managed, can have unacceptable consequences such as loss of customer loyalty due to service unavailability.
Compass Plus has developed several special migration techniques, which ensure that the process of implementing and launching a new system is as smooth as possible and involves a minimum system down-time. The techniques incorporate a staged approach to the migration process, therefore, allowing for gradual system replacement without any interruption to customer services.
Some examples of migration techniques include the following:
| – |
Facilities for emulating international payment networks (VISA Net, EPS Net) in order to set up a switching host between the host in use and the payment networks with subsequent gradual switching of the supported terminal devices over to the new host |
| |
|
| – |
Parameter based transaction switching facilities |
| |
|
| – |
Data load/unload facilities |
| |
|
| – |
Support of a broad set of third party host-to-host interfaces |
As part of the project management services every customer is supplied with a migration plan which is developed based on the specifics of the project.
