Home Products ... MobiCashDispenser
The ownership of mobile phones has risen by an outstanding amount in the recent years and in certain countries the number of mobiles in circulation is much higher than that of payment cards. Mobile phones are no longer viewed as just voice and text messaging devices but also as means of personal identification, browsing the web, banking and making payments. Wireless financial services are particularly on the rise, with 34, 76 and 83 million consumers in N. America, W. Europe and Asia-Pacific (respectively) engaging in the mobile banking*.
Whilst financial transactions such as fund transfers, statement and account balance requests, viewing list of recent transactions and even making payments are not a novelty in m-banking, withdrawing cash, although one of the most demanded banking services, is not offered.
Since 2001, a number of attempts to enable cash withdrawals using a mobile phone were made by some well-known companies. They have marked the time for necessary reconsideration of our fundamental notion of ATMs - the traditional attributes of modern banking that symbolise the impregnability and conservatism of retail banking.
MobiCashATM™ (a technology behind the mobile cash withdrawals) and MobiCashDispenser™ were also amongst the first few offerings enabling mobile cash withdrawals for m-Commerce users. First produced in 2002 and subsequently significantly revised to suit an array of different markets and incorporate advanced security features, MobiCashDispenser is a radical modernisation of a traditional ATM that 'upgrades' the machine to the standards of the m-Commerce banking era. MobiCashATM™ allows any bank customer to withdraw cash using just a standard mobile phone without any modifications performed either to a handset or SIM card. Cash withdrawal transactions require neither a bank card, nor any physical contact with the ATM. MobiCashDispenser has no keyboard, traditional screen, card reader or receipt printer (optionally), their functions are performed by a mobile phone.
Key Purpose
MobiCashDispenser has focused functionality and, as such, is ideal for placing in bars, clubs, restaurants, caf?s, gaming zones, remote recreational facilities, train and bus stations, parking facilities, cinemas, etc., where customers primarily use ATMs to withdraw cash and thus, installing a traditional ATM is proving economically unviable.
Customer Interface
The interactive functions required to initiate cash withdrawal are performed solely by a mobile phone. To provide for self-identification and as an additional communication medium (e.g. for showing a welcome line or adverts), MobiCashDispenser is equipped with an LCD-display and audio speakers (optional).
Design
MobiCashDispenser is designed to be placed "through-the-wall". The device does not have the traditional division of the inside space into "technical" and "financial" zones and allows for all its vital components to be located inside the safe.
Security
To guarantee the high security standards, MobiCashDispenser is equipped with a 12mm UL291 Level 1 safe and numerous security sensors. The face plate is vandal-proof and has access to its fittings only from inside the safe. Data transfer between the ATM and a processing host is secured by a SAM-based encryption and/or Triple DES. Security is also based on a customer unique identification number at a point of transaction initiation, PIN at transaction authorisation, blockage of the access to the service if PIN is entered incorrectly three times and notification service about cash withdrawals (electronic receipts). The product also supports the industry standard ATM protocols (including ISO8583, NDC+, Diebold) for access to a processing centre and transaction authorisation.
