Moscow Industrial Bank (Russia) working on TranzWare solutions from Compass Plus commenced issuing and accepting EMV cards under the brand of MasterCard (M/Chip4) in their payment network. The certification in issuing, ATM and POS acquiring programmes for cards of the M/Chip4 standard was successfully completed with the support from Compass Plus. Issuing EMV cards will allow Moscow Industrial Bank to offer their customers much more secure service when they are using Internet bank. The technology based on Card Authentication Program (CAP) provides Moscow Industrial Bank chip card holders an opportunity to get securely identified in the Internet bank and ‘sign’ every operation they perform using a special cryptographic device. This technology makes unsanctioned access to cardholders’ accounts virtually impossible – the would be fraudster would have to get hold of not just Internet bank login details but also EMV card and the PIN code that is used to generate one-time passwords for the performance of every financial transaction.
The Moscow Industrial Bank’s processing centre has been running on TranzWare products from Compass Plus for over two years. The Director of Retail Products Department, Aleksey Matreshin has highly regarded the partnership between the Bank and Compass Plus: “Modernisation of our Bank’s processing centre by means of installing and using TranzWare products allowed us to reach the new technological level and provide the Bank’s cardholders with the most up-to-date and high-tech products. As far as our near future plans concerned, we plan to realise a large project encompassing integration of payment means and access tools to all kind of services offered to personal banking customers in one card. This will allow the customers to actively manage their funds and use the available banking services”.
Currently, Moscow Industrial Bank has over 270 thousand active cards in circulation, POS terminal network of 1,500 and the network of ATM and kiosks in excess of 470 units.

Quipu GmbH (Frankfurt, Germany) - TPP and MSP, working on TranzWare products from Compass Plus, achieved an overall compliance to the mandatory PCI Data Security Standard. The audit was performed by Excelsis.
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is the result of collaboration between Visa and MasterCard payment systems but also has the support of other payment networks such as American Express, Diners Club and card companies and demonstrates rigorous efforts of the payment industry to tackle the ever so important security issues.
Compliance with the PCI DSS v1.1 certifies that Quipu, including the payment software – TranzWare CMS (card management system), TranzWare Online (processing system), TranzWare Card Factory (card personalization system) and TranzWare Fraud Analyzer (fraud prevention and detection system) that it utilises, proactively protects themselves, its customers and the overall payment system against the threat of security compromises, such as fraud and identity theft.
The PCI Data Security Standard Certificate of Validation was issued by Excelsis – an independent Visa Qualified Security Assessor and MasterCard Certified Scan Vendor.

Compass Plus brings its new ATM monitoring module to effect in TranzWare Online.
This module is an alternative to the standard ATM monitoring functionality within TranzWare Online and is intended for banks that require more advanced tools to manage their large dispersed ATM networks. Banks that choose the new ATM monitoring module can ascertain control over terminal networks on a far superior level.

Compass Plus assisted in commercially launching processing centre and plastic card personalisation centre at Bank Center-invest (Russia) that is built on the TranzWare software products. The Bank has associated/affiliated member status in VISA and MasterCard and the processing centre is certified in both payment systems. As a part of the sponsor-bank processing system project the entire active card authorisation base of the Bank was transferred to the TranzWare systems in the Bank’s own processing centre.
Bank Center-invest is the largest bank in the South region of Russia and according to the RBC.ru on the 1st of January 2007 took the 1st position by the net wealth, equity capital and profit.

Alliance Bank (Kazakhstan) completed certification process in the MasterCard International payment system with the support of Compass Plus. At present, Alliance Bank, one of the top three largest banks of Kazakhstan, has Principle Member status in both MasterCard and VISA and can allow its clients to use cards from both popular payment systems as well as accept them in its retail network.
Card business development is one of the key development directions for Alliance Bank. As a result of this strategy in July 2007 the Bank began to issue revolving credit cards to all clients who successfully repaid all of their express-credits. Two months after the implementation of the Revolving Credit Card module (within TranzWare CMS) Alliance Bank issued more than 30,000 credit cards.

Compass Plus and CyberPlat (Russia), an integrated multi-bank online payment system have collaborated to design an interface between CyberPlat’s payment system and TranzWare Online, Compass Plus’ highly efficient, fault-tolerant engine for switching, parametric routing and authorisation of electronic payment transactions.
This development will allow bank customers to make payments for the services of mobile and landline telephone operators, IP-telephony, cable and satellite television, Internet providers and also for public utility services at ATMs or kiosks. Currently, Compass Plus and CyberPlat are nearing the launch of the system at Uralprivatbank (Yekaterinburg, Russia)
CyberPlat integrates payment channels with large service providers such as the leading mobile and landline telephone operators, satellite and cable television providers, housing and utilities complex organisations, power supply companies and others. Thus, the CyberPlat payment system expands beyond the mobile and internet payments sector and proves efficient for an entire spectrum of services.
