Compass Plus is a mid-size high-tech company holding three complementary business competences within its scope: OLTP software development for retail banking systems and electronic payments, a processing operation (Processing Centre certified with VISA and MasterCard Europe) and EFT-related business and technology consulting. The company was established in 1989 as a successor to a large R&D institute dating back to 1956, first as an industrial automation center and then as a general information technology research laboratory.

Historically, a core competence of Compass Plus lies in the development and implementation of object-oriented technologies and tools for building, debugging and maintaining large-scale automated systems. Leveraging this expertise today, Compass Plus is committed to providing refined state-of-the-art products and flexible business solutions that drive all-scale multi-component EFT systems employed in the financial and retail industries, mobile and electronic commerce, interactive self-service business and in other trade areas that engage in electronic payments. In-house developed superior EFT product family - TranzWare™ - incorporates a comprehensive range of integrated customisable products and is fit to suit an array of customer needs. Compass Plus Processing Centre is one of the largest independent processors in Russia and has Third Party Processor and Member Service Provider status in Visa and MasterCard payment systems respectively. Today, over 20 financial institutions from several countries use its facilities. The processing centre processes over 90,000 transactions a day and runs exclusively on software products from the TranzWare family.

As part of the ongoing technological research, Compass Plus laboratories also engage in a fundamental system R&D in the area of object-oriented technologies, rapid application development (RAD) facilities and techniques for developing large and extra-large software systems. This research has been repeatedly marked as an outstanding contribution to the field and led to the development of a system-independent object-oriented complex software and application developing system known as FloraWare™. FloraWare has received several awards at various international forums and competitions for its originality, capability to dramatically increase programming efficiency and reliability of the application systems developed by its means. FloraWare is the main tool for developing TranzWare application systems.

Compass Plus provides EFT project implementation, management, support and consulting services, including payment network building, setting up and equipping processing centers, undertaking integration and certification jobs, supplying electronic hardware and software and other components necessary for developing and running of successful electronic payment systems.

Currently, Compass Plus lucratively serves over 70 medium to large size financial institutions, processing centres and national switches in 17 countries across Europe, Asia and Africa.
