 Traditionally bank cards, whether magnetic stripe or EMV, are personalised in batches, in a highly secure environment and usually at a centralised facility. Although this is an efficient, secure and beneficial way, there are situations that require a different approach. For example, when there is the possibility to acquire a lucrative customer (may otherwise be known as a VIP client) is present or when one such valuable customer requires reissue of their card in the shortest possible time.
Every banks customer portfolio includes clients that need to be delivered a truly exceptional service. Compass Plus offers a turn-key Instant Card Issuance solution in order to set a bank on the way of providing superb VIP customer management. The principal concept of TranzWare Instant Card Issuance for VIP customers is that they can come into a local bank branch to apply for a new card or re-issuance of an existing card and, within 10-15 minutes, actually leave in possession of their new card. As an option, the request for a new card or reissue of an existing one can be made via telephone in order to receive minimum customer information and thus speed up the process.
The solution is designed to function as a standalone in-branch unit but can also seamlessly integrate with the existing batch personalisation system. For instance, it is possible to use the same HSM as the one employed as a part of the TranzWare system. The actual card management can be performed centrally or it can be decentralised whatever suits the business model best. A bank branch(s) has its own stock of non-personalised cards and relatively non-expensive personalisation equipment.
The Instant Card Issuance solution is based on the functionality of TranzWare Card Factory a refined card personalisation and issuing product providing a comprehensive support for data preparation, card personalisation and issuing of EMV and magnetic stripe cards; and also on the following software and hardware:

The simplest approach to the instant card issuance encompasses creating a file within a card management system that includes customer data and automatically generated card number. This file is then transferred to TranzWare Card Factory for processing. The system encodes the tracks, personalises the chip, accepts customer selected PIN (via a PIN Pad), calculates all necessary cryptographic parameters and values, etc. After the card is personalised and issued, Card Factory generates a file with all the relevant data and transfers it back to the card management system.
