Warka Bank, Iraq, has successfully completed the migration of its processing center to the TranzWare platform and as a result, has launched a wide portfolio of MasterCard products in record time.

Warka Bank’s previous legacy system prevented the bank from growing its business successfully due to the lack of advanced card management functionality, inadequate product support and customer-vendor relations. Following the detailed evaluation and selection of the TranzWare platform by the team led by Mr. Saad Sadoon Al-Bunnia (CEO), and thanks to the partnership with Compass Plus and the migration to TranzWare, business is booming.

Warka Bank chose to implement TranzWare Online, TranzWare CMS, TranzWare Interchange, TranzWare Fraud Analyzer and TranzWare Card Factory from the Tranzware product suite with the intention of launching telebanking and SMS services in the near future. Warka Bank has also been implementing a strategy to roll-out 1300 POS terminals as of 1st Oct 2009.

After the completion of training by Warka Bank, the implementation project gathered momentum which resulted in the fastest certification of a platform with MasterCard in the MENA region. Compass Plus certainly met all of the bank’s expectations in terms of product functionality, responsiveness, support and product delivery.

The launch date for the MasterCard project was celebrated in Erbil on 1st November and in Sulaymaniyah on 4th November, with substantial media presence.

Of the collaboration between the two companies Hassan Hussein M.C.C / Deputy General Manager of Warka Bank said: “Iraq is a very up-and-coming country within the financial sector. As a key part of the Iraqi Banking Sector, Warka Bank are working hard to be the number one financial institution in all fields of the industry, especially within the e-services hub, which is the future of the business. Our experience with Compass Plus commenced when we decided to become a MasterCard member, they provided us with excellent support in migrating our existing card base and terminal network to the TranzWare system. Their professional team, who completed MasterCard certification in a new record time for the MENA region, worked with us as partners in achieving our goals using their TranzWare products, which cover all expectations any bank or processor may have. I think this is what makes the difference, giving Compass Plus customers a competitive edge.”

About Warka Bank:
Warka Bank for Investment and Finance is one of the largest financial institutions in Iraq with a network of 140 branches (with an additional branch in Lebanon) and 300 ATMs (190 online) located all over Iraq offering strong and constantly growing banking services. The bank was established in 1999 and now it is considered by the central bank of Iraq and all other financial organizations as the first private bank in Iraq.

Compass Plus is one of the few companies that has been accepted to be compliant with the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS). In accordance to the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) website, only 11% of payment applications have received PA-DSS certification so far. The confirmation of TranzWare product suite, including the flagship products TranzWare CMS and TranzWare Online, achieving full validation with the PA-DSS was received on the 21 of September, 2009.
https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/security_standards/vpa/

Visa has set a deadline of July 2010, by which all payment system participants must use PABP or PA-DSS compliant applications. All other software applications developed and sold by third parties will no longer be compatible with the Visa payment network. Compass Plus customers using TranzWare products worldwide will directly benefit from the PA-DSS compliance as it will simplify the procedure for achieving their own PCI DSS compliance that is also compulsory for all companies working with MasterCard and Visa and failure to do so will bring adverse consequences.

PA-DSS is a Council-managed program formerly under the supervision of the Visa Inc. program known as the Payment Application Best Practices (PABP). The goal of PA-DSS is to help software vendors and other related companies develop secure payment applications taking into account the PCI SSC requirements with regards to storage, processing and transferring payment card data (for example, CVV2 or PIN data). As a whole, these requirements facilitate changes in the software development and testing processes, thereby increasing the quality of payment applications.

Compass Plus worked with Trustwave Ltd. – a Qualified Security Assessor, in order to perform a PA-DSS assessment to determine the compliance of Compass Plus’ applications with the PCI Security Standards Council’s (PCI SSC) Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) version 1.2.

Of the successful PA-DSS audit completion, Youri Koliakin said: "PA-DSS requirements for the developers of crucial electronic payment systems from a security point of view are dictated by time and are based on the financial industry’s recent history. Compass Plus have always made the security and reliability of its products and solutions the highest priority and our efforts in this field have resulted in the company being awarded the PA-DSS certificate. I want to take this opportunity to congratulate all Compass Plus employees, customers and partners. Also it should be noted that electronic payment system break-in methods are constantly improving, threats do not vanish but instead grow together with the development of payment systems and the increasing sophistication of payment software products. Therefore, following the established corporate culture of systematic approaches to problem solving, Compass Plus continues to maintain a high priority stance for the development of security, reliability and control in our products and solutions."

About Trustwave:
Trustwave is the leading provider of on-demand data security and payment card industry compliance management solutions to businesses and organizations throughout the world.

Trustwave offers a wide range of security services to help businesses analyze and test current information security controls and, if necessary, provide guidance to remediate any deficiencies identified.

Kapital Bank holds press conference for double celebration: the implementation of their new processing centre and the millionth VISA card being issued since establishment.

On May 21st 2009 a press conference was held at the Kapital Bank headquarters in Baku, Azerbaijan, in conjunction with VISA and Compass Plus, to present an award to the customer issued with the millionth VISA card.

The celebrations went on to include the implementation of the bank’s in-house processing centre on May 5th, the first ever in Azerbaijan. The new centre runs on the TranzWare™ platform provided by Compass Plus, a leading international provider of electronic payment software and solutions. Svetlana Georbelidze, a representative of VISA, mentioned in her speech that this event will improve payment services and endorse new projects that will be available for all Azerbaijani citizens. Kapital Bank has the most extensive branch network throughout Azerbaijan and has issued the largest number of cards in the Republic.

Commended for its experience and reliability, Compass Plus was chosen to provide its expertise over 7 other companies in the running for the project. Rauf Rzayev, chairman of Kapital Bank, noted that it was not the price of the solution that was the deciding factor, but the extensive functionality of the banking technologies and Compass Plus’ proven experience in the implementation of innovative and large-scale projects. The company currently serves over 90 financial institutions, processing centres and national switches in 23 countries across the world.

Andrey Chirkov, Regional Director of Compass Plus emphasised the strategic importance of this project for the company in his speech: "We highly value this project as it is a new market for Compass Plus and we feel socially responsible whilst migrating large volumes of cards en masse."

The well organised work from the Compass Plus and Kapital Bank project teams allowed all obstacles to be overcome with ease; with the implementation process taking less than a year in total. Ali Akhundov, the Head of Kapital Bank’s project team stressed the migration process went without losses for both the bank and client, with a gap in service of just 6 hours and approximately 2 million cards being migrated within this window.

In conclusion, Chairman Rauf Rzayev of Kapital Bank noted that having the processing centre is strategically advantageous for the bank as it creates a platform for the long-term development of remote banking services and electronic payments. He went on to look at the bank’s plans for the near future with an emphasis put upon the implementation of a loyalty programme to stimulate the growth of electronic payments and to develop the retail network in Azerbaijan. Thanks to the newly operational platform, Kapital Bank will offer an array of new services, to include mobile and Internet banking. The newly established in-house processing centre will also enable the bank to significantly enhance the security of all card operations as Kapital Bank launched TranzWare Fraud Analyzer, an advanced fraud monitoring and risk management system that will help in the continuous struggle against fraud.

Kapital Bank, being universal in nature, provides a wide range of banking services both for corporate clients and individuals and has the widest network of branches throughout Azerbaijan. It is a bank of social importance – the agent-bank of the State in implementing major governmental and social programs. Kapital Bank is viewed as highly trustworthy in the international arena and is a Principle Member of MasterCard Worldwide and VISA International.

PrivatBank, the largest card issuer in Ukraine, has announced that it has now issued over 18.5 million cards with a growth of more than 20% - the equivalent of 3.5 million cards - over the past year with its terminal network increasing to include over 7,000 ATMs and 52,000 POS terminals. The role of technology is crucial to such dynamic card business development. The core technological function of the electronic payment infrastructure at PrivatBank is built on TranzWare solutions provided by Compass Plus to help ensure leadership in the market.

The increasing volume and dynamics of PrivatBank’s card business has put forward considerable requirements for the processing centre: not only for its exceptional reliability, but also for system scalability – the need for an increase in processing capacity without a considerable rise in cost (for example, costs of a company-wide hardware upgrade and subsequent project work).

The hardware platform at PrivatBank utilises a number of servers, with a typical server being equipped with 4 Intel® Xeon® dual-core processors and 8 GB RAM. Despite the rather modest specifications of the servers, merging them into the software-hardware cluster provides excellent results – the processing centre staff recorded a competitive peak rate of transactions per second which is in the running with results from far superior servers.

The PrivatBank processing centre successfully handles its increasing workload, taking advantage of the distributed architecture of the TranzWare Online front-office system. The uniqueness of this solution lies in the mechanism of the processing instance, a software component within which TranzWare Online server modules (controlling authorisation, routing, host-to-host interfaces, terminal drivers, etc.) are executed. Instances can run on one server or on various logically connected servers creating a single decentralised environment for the processing system. This allows the following to occur: balancing the loading of the multiprocessor servers, multi-threading tasks on several servers within the cluster and creating backup processes in different instances to achieve fault-tolerance through the duplication of software modules. TranzWare Online also includes a special multiprotocol transaction router, which monitors the availability of processing system instances. In the event of an instance failure, the router automatically switches the network interfaces to the backup server modules (executed within other instances, usually on the other cluster nodes).

The PrivatBank project, therefore, combines a high degree of reliability with ease of scalability. As workload increases, the distributed processing system is expanded to include a mid-level server which runs one or more processing instances, receiving a part of the transaction flow.

PrivatBank is one of the largest Ukrainian banks; it consists of a large service delivery network of over 3,000 branches throughout Ukraine. PrivatBank is the leading issuer and acquirer of payment cards in Ukraine and Principal Member of VISA and MasterCard payment systems. As of May 2009 the bank had issued more than 18.5 million cards and installed more than 7,000 ATMs and 52,000 POS terminals.

TranzWare PostPay is an automated EBPP (Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment) complex which allows an enterprise to expand the spectrum of services on offer. The system was implemented in METKOMBANK.

Compass Plus has been given the task to organise an automated bill presentment from various suppliers (of municipal services, cellular communications, Internet services, etc.) and to enable customers to choose a payment account and make payments via ATMs, electronic kiosks or Internet banking. The TranzWare PostPay system has been chosen to address these tasks. This system is capable of interacting with different service providers (using an individually set up file interface), consolidating the assortment of bills presented to a particular customer and enabling payment of these bills by means of the various interaction channels between a customer and processing centre.

“TranzWare PostPay functionality realised at METKOMBANK allows bank customers to look through the bills and make full, partial or advance payment, as well as set up a direct debit in an online mode, receive notifications about presented bills via SMS. In the future we plan to switch to our own processing centre based on TranzWare”, says Mr. Kogan, Head of Project Office at METKOMBANK.

METKOMBANK is one of the largest Ural banks and has Associate Member status in the Visa International payment system. The bank has issued over 70,000 cards. By the end of 2008 METKOMBANK has installed more than 60 ATMs.

People’s Bank of Georgia with technological support from Compass Plus has successfully completed Merchant Plug-In certification and implementation project within Verified by Visa program. The certified MPI component is a part of TranzWare e-Commerce product developed by Compass Plus. This component ensures security of electronic payments made over the Internet on the acquirer host and is based on the 3-D Secure customer transaction authentication technology (also referred to as Verified by Visa). Typically in the traditional payment systems a merchant has responsibility for authentication of the card operations made on the Internet. However, according to the Verified by Visa technology, the responsibility for customer identification and authentication is shifted to an issuer. This allows to significantly reduce risks for the Internet shops leading to the prevention of fraudulent operations and resulting financial losses.

People’s Bank of Georgia remains customer of Compass Plus since 2005 when decision was made to organize its own processing center due to the need for integration into the global economic system and for unified payment instruments. Launching own processing center based on Compass Plus products provided technological independence and full control over the issuance process and overall functioning of the payment cards. Since that time the bank productively cooperates with Compass Plus in order to sustain stable growth and development of the bank’s card business using products and technologies of the company. In the nearest future People’s Bank of Georgia plans to join the MasterCard payment system and certify issuing and acquiring of M/Chip cards.

People’s Bank of Georgia has a Principal Member status in Visa International and is the largest card issuer in the country with over 1.2 million cards in circulation. The bank has the widest branch network in Georgia comprising 210 branches, and is an authorized bank for implementing all state social benefit programs.

NORVIK BANKA (Latvia) obtained VISA certification of TranzWare e-Commerce ACS module (Access Control Server) offered by Compass Plus. The certification will enable Internet payments using 3-D Secure protocol that supports the usage of a password in order to identify the cardholder and therefore helps reduce risks for online merchants. The ACS module was certified in the MasterCard payment system in the spring of 2007.

Head of NORVIK BANKA’s Payment Cards Department, Maria Golubeva held the work done by Compass Plus specialists in high esteem and had the following to say: “Despite Visa having significantly changed ACS server requirements in relation to the cryptographic RSA keys during the launching of the system in the Bank, we were nevertheless able to pass certification successfully with the help of Compass Plus specialists.”

The collaboration between NORVIK BANKA and Compass Plus began in 2003 when Lateko Bank (NORVIK BANKA‘s former name) decided to migrate from another vendor’s system. Since then the Bank and Compass Plus have successfully completed many projects and they continue to further develop relations. Amongst other things, the Bank is one of the first to have commercially launched a fraud monitoring system based on TranzWare Fraud Analyzer. Furthermore, the Bank became one of the first to launch the e-commerce system with 3-D Secure technology built on TranzWare e-Commerce.

NORVIK BANKA is one of the most successful Banks on the Latvian financial market. According to a leading international financial periodical, The Banker, in 2005 the publication especially drew attention to the Bank’s focus on information technologies, which make it possible for the Bank to offer new convenient services and solutions to their customers. NORVIK BANKA has Principal Member Status in both the Visa and MasterCard payment systems and has issued over 150,000 cards under these brands.

Compass Plus together with an Egyptian processing centre Mediterranean Smart Cards Company launched a new type of outsourcing project - “software as a service”. First customer to choose this new model is SISP (Sociedade Interbancaria e Sistemas de Pagamentos, SA) in Cape Verde. MSCC and Compass Plus provided SISP with TranzWare Card Factory – a leading EMV personalization solution automating EMV card issuance for a number of banks in Cape Verde. The new model presumes that customers do not buy the license for the software and pay for maintenance and support, instead they obtain a turn-key solution, which is completely maintained by MSCC, and therefore pay only for the service rendered, while enjoying all the advantages of in-house solution.

MSCC and Compass Plus are planning to extend this new approach to other products and countries in Africa and Middle-East in the near future.

MSCC is a leading payment processor in Africa and Middle-East providing its services to more than 40 institutions across the region. MSCC is a long standing Compass Plus’ partner and has been using TranzWare products to drive their own business and distributing them for the last 4 years.

SISP is a national processor in Cape Verde, who is entrusted by local banks to drive their card issuance and acquiring business in the country.

"Alliance bank" (Kazakhstan) accomplished migration of its entire card system onto a new technological platform, built on the TranzWare product platform offered by Compass Plus.

In connection with a swift increase in the card business and a boom in the payment technologies market in 2005 the need for Alliance bank to find a new processing solution capable of satisfying the ever growing demands of its clients, and to also ensure that the bank achieve effective operation and control of the solution became evident.

In the same year (2005) bank management chose the solution to replace their existing processing system. As part of the modifications, the bank chose Compass Plus and their TranzWare products.

In 2006 the introduction of the new software began as well as work on the migration of the existing card payment system to the new platform. Throughout the course of project realization the bank introduced such program products as TranzWare CMS, TranzWare Online, TranzWare POI, TranzWare Interchange, TranzWare Analyzer, and TranzWare Messaging Gate. Thanks to these products the bank enlarged its spectrum of proposed services and in so doing, ensured a high level of system productivity and protection from fraudulent operations.

As a result of the joint efforts of bank colleagues and Compass Plus, certifications in the Visa and MasterCard payment systems were carried out, a new back-office introduced and the bank’s spectrum of retail banking products was substantially extended. Many additional services such as Internet Banking, notification by SMS, payment of public services or taxes through ATMs became accessible to customers of Alliance Bank. The successful collaboration between the bank and Compass Plus meant that Alliance Bank could now stand ahead of the leaders in its field according to statistics on customers and shareholders.

The director of Alliance Bank’s Processing centre department Vladimir Orlenko made the following comment: "Thanks to TranzWare CMS and the respective customization of solutions we could painlessly migrate the old processing system to the new one. At the same time, thanks to the routing solution, realized in TranzWare Online, the process of migration was smooth and convenient for us. I would like to stress the high quality of consulting services demonstrated on behalf of Compass Plus specialists."

Alliance bank is one of the largest commercial banks in the Republic of Kazakhstan based on asset size and shareholders’ equity. The Bank has Principal Member status in both MasterCard and Visa International and occupies one of the leading positions in the consumer crediting market. The bank’s regional network consists of 25 offices and 218 branches across the Republic of Kazakhstan. In September 2007 global financial magazine The Banker, included Alliance Bank in its list of top 200 banks of Asia. Today, the bank has issued over 470,000 cards from the VISA payment system and more than 21,000 cards from the MasterCard payment system

On 19th March 2008 JSB "Clearing House" launched its own in-house processing centre built on Compass Plus’ TranzWare Online, TranzWare POI FIMI, TranzWare Interchange. Previously, the bank had already launched its own personalization centre based on the Compass Plus product TranzWare Card Factory where the first cards have already been issued.

The head of the bank’s processing centre Vitalii Bilan noted: "Migration to our own processing centre was the logical result of many years of collaboration and vast work, accomplished by both specialists of the bank and Compass Plus. The solution to create our own processing centre was accepted by the bank a year ago after the refusal of PrivatBank to continue with the sponsor programme. Contracts to deliver and implement TranzWare software were signed at the end of October 2007 and by mid December the specialists of the company had established all their program products.

Practically within a month, the bank together with Compass Plus developed and tested a technological scheme of phased migration on their own processing centre and in the beginning of February we were to begin migration, but timescales were shifted due to formalities in the migration process. Now I can say with complete confidence that we were not mistaken in using Compass Plus to realise our project. TranzWare Online, the front-office system completely realised our expectations of being a flexible and universal tool, capable of satisfying all our needs, first and foremost, to accomplish migration step by step without allowing inconveniences in servicing both the payment cards of our own and others clients ".

JSB "Clearing House" became the 4th client of Compass Plus in the Ukraine with its own processing centre built on the TranzWare product family.

JSB “Clearing House” is a dynamically developing, universal Ukrainian bank, which is an associated member of the VISA international payment system. JSB "Clearing House" has already issued over 20 thousand cards and has a terminal network of more than 30 ATMs and also has an actively developed network of POS- terminals.

On 27th February 2008, Commercial Bank «Transportny» launched an in-house processing centre based on Compass Plus’s TranzWare Online solution. The entire project was realised within 7 months.

Director of the bank’s IT department, Aleksander Kan said the following about the collaboration,
“Together with Compass Plus and in many respects because of the highly skilled and well-organised Compass Plus team we were able to implement the TranzWare solution to the bank, certify the processing centre in MPS VISA and begin serving our customers within a mere six months. Thanks to the project our clients are now able to use more extensive bank services and thus obtain a better overall service. We now also have the capability to constantly add to our services making our bank a competitive financial institution in the retail market.”

The creation of an in-house processing centre was the result of a joint development project with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants realised as a part of the bank’s development strategy directed at the development of retail business and the remote banking system. President of the bank, Aleksander Arifov commented on Compass Plus solutions as follows: "The decision to use Compass Plus solutions was the best decision for the bank and allowed us to:
- implement the business processes described in the development strategy based on Western standards, with simultaneous adherence to Russian conditions;
- ensure flexibility of the solutions in a number of ways (frontal processing solution, the Back-office solution for an entire spectrum of the bank’s retail products, Internet- bank etc.);
- adhere to deadlines set out by the strategy;
- optimize the expenditures of the bank by saving on integrated solutions.

Already today the processing centre performs a complete cycle of operations in both issuing and servicing plastic cards. Furthermore, the bank will soon give a wide spectrum of additional services to all cardholders, such as: managing accounts, making payments through the internet, call centre or mobile phones.”

Further developments as to the functional possibilities of the processing centre will include the realization and support of loyalty programmes. Therefore, the card products of the bank will become even more convenient and more diverse, and the services - even more attractive for clients.

Commercial Bank «Transportny» considers itself a stably growing bank of Russia, with a high degree of financial stability. The bank is a member of the Visa international payment system. At the present moment the bank provides an entire spectrum of services to a wide circle of clients.

Ukrainian bank CLEARING HOUSE has commenced issuance of magnetic stripe and EMV cards in the VISA international payment system through its own in-house personalization centre, built on Compass Plus’ TranzWare Card Factory product base.

Manager of the bank’s processing centre, Vitaly Belan made the following comments: "The collaboration between JSB CLEARING HOUSE and Compass Plus has been established for over four years. During this time, Compass Plus has proved to be a reliable and competent partner offering superior and competitive solutions for the growing needs of the bank. On these grounds, Compass Plus’ victory in the tender to deliver a solution for the creation of an in-house processing centre and personalisation centre was no shock. Compass Plus added the TranzWare Card Factory solution to support the new SafeNet HSM ProtectServer Gold model as well as Datacard’s new SE48 embosser. Thanks to these additions, the bank could personalise their own payment cards (both magnetic stripe and EMV) thus declining the services of another personalisation centre. "

TranzWare Card Factory governs the entire process of personalizing both magnetic stripe and EMV cards, ensures the preparation of personalised data, the maintenance of personalisation equipment and the plotting of graphic information on cards.

Soon JSB CLEARING HOUSE plans to launch its own in-house processing centre with the support of Compass Plus based on the TranzWare Online product base.

JSB "CLEARING HOUSE" is a dynamically developing, universal Ukrainian bank. The bank is an associated member of the VISA payment system and has issued over 20,000 cards

Compass Plus out rivaled competition from eight other companies winning the tender to create a processing system for Kapital Bank.

According to the Chairman of the Board, Rauf Rzaev, the system will initially serve internal operations of the bank, however in the future it will be possible to connect to other banks. After the creation of its own in-house processing system, Kapital Bank will no longer use the services of Azerbaijani processing companies.

“Our in-house system will power 2.5 million cards, 550 ATMs, 5000 POS-terminals and 200 Information kiosks and will be two times stronger than current processing centres in Azerbaijan in terms of functionality.” Quoted Rauf Rzaev at his own press conference on 23 February 2008.

Currently, decisions over system configuration and equipment required are being reached after which installation will begin as well as the testing process which will be achieved through VISA International. The commercial launch of processing system is planned for June 2008.

Joint Stock Company ‘Kapital Bank’ has an extensive and rich history in Azerbaijan and is also the Republic’s largest bank in terms of branch network. At present the bank has 88 branches. The bank is a principal member of the MasterCard Europe and VISA International payment systems.

The SobinDirect Internet banking system allows Sobinbank customers to carry out a wide spectrum of operations through any computer with web-access, providing users with access to information about the state of their accounts, deposits and loans (including detailed statements). Card transactions can be monitored in real-time and payments to various services such as mobile network operators, Internet Service Providers, and utility companies are also facilitated.

The customer can activate the SobinDirect service practically in self-service regime. Bank personnel simply issue customers with an envelope containing registration information. With this information as well as a Sobinbank card the bank customer registers in the system through an ATM. After initial registration the customer activates the service within the bank. This way the bank ensures a high level of personal data protection, and can also optimally distribute workload on Bank personnel.

SobinDirect also allows linking additional cards to the service, establishing personal card limits and customers to correspond freely with the bank. The system’s security is guaranteed through a range of complex measures, amongst which are the following; introduction of an SMS code for card account transaction authorization, periodic password modification and a virtual keyboard on screen.

Sobinbank’s First Deputy Chairman of the Board Igor Duda said about the new system: “Remote banking is no longer a costly, image-making tool. Today it is a real working tool which enables to significantly reduce costs of retail banking transactions. Taking into account considerable volumes of operations in this business segment, it is no surprise that this innovation is of great interest to us.”

The SobinDirect Internet banking system, created on the TranzWare eBank product base and integrated with other Compass Plus solutions, was harmoniously incorporated into the bank’s remote banking infrastructure. Sobinbank continues to develop its contemporary banking services with the use of Compass Plus solutions making it possible to stay ahead of the competition in the retail services market.

TranzWare eBank and other Compass Plus solutions are also being used in the Fin-Online system of Finservice bank. This unique credit organization created by Sobinbank and one of the largest Russian retail outlet networks – ‘The Seventh Continent’, works on an in-store basis. The system’s statistics are testimony to the vast possibilities and ease of use of the Internet bank. From the moment of launch, over the course of four months more than 10 thousand users were registered in FIN-Online.

Sobinbank is a high tech commercial bank and features in the top thirty largest banks in Russia. The bank presents one of the widest collections of international card payment products in Russia and is rated as one of the 1000 largest banks of the world in The Banker (FT edition). Sobinbank is a fully-fledged member of the VISA International and MasterCard WorldWide payment systems and is a partner of Diners Club International.
www.sobinbank.ru

Finservice Bank is a joint venture between Russian supermarket chain ‘The Seventh Continent’ and Sobinbank. Over 150 Finservice self-service ATMs work in twenty-four hour regime, thanks to which bank customers can pay off loans, withdraw cash, pay mobile service providers, Internet providers or even conduct currency exchanges.

Bank KOLTSO URALA ‘went-live’ with Compass Plus’ comprehensive bank card fraud monitoring and prevention solution TranzWare Fraud Analyzer with a view to address the globally prevalent issue of reducing fraudulent bank card operations.

Olga Sharafeeva, Head of Card Project Development Department at Bank KOLTSO URALA said: «In choosing TranzWare Fraud Analyzer as fraud prevention software the Bank considered the following:

ability to integrate the product without additional modifications to the Bank’s processing centre software platform;

comprehensive set of implementation, support and training services;

ability to process a large volume of transactions;

ability to independently set transaction analysis rules;

Bank KOLTSO URALA became the 17th user of TranzWare Fraud Analyzer. Thanks to these credentials the system was installed within the shortest period of time – just two weeks.

TranzWare Fraud Analyzer is a robust analytical system enabling quasi-online transaction and action monitoring with the aim of fraud prevention and risk management. The system is business rule based and can effectively monitor extra-large flows of data and can also be used to detect other fraudulent actions, such as money laundering.

Bank KOLTSO URALA continues to thrive in its field with Compass Plus solutions. As the Bank already features a broad spectrum of the TranzWare product family, including TranzWare CMS, TranzWare Online, TranzWare e-Bank and TranzWare Card Factory, the new addition marks the second year of this successful alliance.

Bank KOLTSO URALA is an Associate Member of the VISA payment system and an Affiliated Member of the MasterCard payment system. The volume of bank cards in circulation is continuing its dynamic growth and to date the Bank has issued over 65,000 bank cards.

The People’s Bank of Georgia is one of the first Banks to launch P2P card transfers in the Transcaucasia region. This technology makes it possible to carry out money transfers from one VISA card to another conveniently and securely whilst avoiding a trip to the bank. The new service will be operative twenty-four hours a day in all People’s Bank of Georgia ATMs (over 120). The functional possibilities of the Bank’s processing centre, built on TranzWare products, lay at the root of the new service.

General Director of People’s Bank, Georgiy Goguadze made the following comments about the new service: "The introduction of innovative solutions is not an achievement for the Bank alone; it serves to promote the profile of the country as a whole. Technological advancement in any company is represented as a positive development trend for any country. In terms of the new product, clients of People’s Bank can transfer money whenever they want, even on a Sunday and outside of working hours. Many months of work went into the launch of the new product which made P2P card transfers accessible to the Georgian consumer. This is a service that already enjoys popularity amongst European countries and I think that it will be useful since it can be used in any force-majeure situation".

In response Andrew Chirkov, Commercial Director of Compass Plus, made these comments on the collaboration: “People’s Bank of Georgia is a forerunner in the Georgian plastic cards industry. As a Bank it continues to actively enlarge its plastic card issuance and support network and simultaneously realizes promising and innovative projects. We are proud of the fact that our solutions give limitless possibilities and contribute to the growth of the bank".

People’s Bank of Georgia strives to be the most pioneering Bank in Georgia. To this end Compass Plus contributes to the successful collaboration as a reliable partner and developer of innovative technologies. The People’s Bank of Georgia is the largest issuer of bank cards in Georgia (approximately 45% of total bank cards issued in Georgia) and has Principal Member status in the VISA international payment system. The Bank also has the widest branch network in Georgia (180 branches) and is an authorized bank on state social program implementation (delivery of pensions, grants, etc.).
